About the artist

"Hi, I'm Daniel, the writer and artist of Start Wreck. I am the sole creator of this spoof web comic series, which I decided to start in 2004.
As you can probably tell, I enjoy drawing, stupid humour and watching sci-fi programmes. Star Trek the original series seemed like an ideal show to 'spoof' because it's so recognisable, easy to quote, easy to parody, and has a huge following of fans. I also discovered very few (if any) proper Star Trek-based web comics on the 'net, and decided I'd make mine fill the void.

I live and work in and around London, England, and draw this comic in my spare time (which isn't much). Though I try to update it every week or so, I often get behind, distracted by other things.

Art and Graphics were two subjects I enjoyed a great deal at school, and I continued to study Art at college. Whilst there I also became interested in Computing, which led to an interest in web design, which led to my first job as an assistant interactive designer for a small web design studio. My primary interest has always been artistic, as I do not like the constant precision and restrictions needed for web layouts and programming. I also like to animate, and hope to continue doing so for the foreseeable future.
